Web Printing

Retail Web Printing. Our Foundation.

We have more than 50 years experience with web offset printing. We have the confidence and press capacity to produce professional materials for your company at very competitive prices. Last year alone, we printed over 1.5 billion copies and used over 46,000 plates! Our heat set presses handle very large runs and we are accustomed to extensive versioning and fulfillment. We print for many leading retailers from industries such as grocery, furniture, automotive, entertainment and supercenters, just to name a few. Our experienced customer service and sales teams will give you and your project our personal attention. Versatility, professionalism and flexibility are just some of the qualities we offer - the finished product is proof of our expertise.

The recent expansion of our retail shelf sign division, Nexgen, now offers an even more robust product offering for retailers doing traditional insert printing. We can print a retailers weekly retail shelf tags, variable data promotions, planogram shelf strips, and tie it all together with traditional print ads. Just another reason why Grandville Printing is where retail printing comes together.

How Does A Web Press Work?

Web printing is the process that feeds a roll of paper through a set of rollers. The rollers, with printing plates attached to them, contain an image or text that is transferred to a rubber roller, then onto paper with use of ink dots. The printing plate separates image and non-image areas around the principles that water and oil do not mix. Each ink dot is one of four colors: Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black (CMYK) - making up all possible colors. By traveling through the press from roller to roller, a full color image is created. This type of printing is used for the printing of newspapers, retail inserts, magazines, and other large print runs.
